Review of ultrasensitive readout for micro-/nanofluidic devices by thermal lens microscopy

چکیده

Thermal lens microscopy (TLM) utilizes the effects, such as changes in refractive index, caused by heat generated sample for detection of nonfluorescent analytes with at least a hundred-fold enhancement sensitivity compared optical absorbance spectrometry. Micro-/nanofluidic devices can provide specificity and manipulation capabilities. The integration these two technologies exposes potential to attain holy grail continuous, real-time, label-free, specific, ultrasensitive detection, which find applications environmental monitoring, quality control chemical manufacturing, single-cell analysis, biomedicines. Here, we summarize recent advances instrument development innovative applications, suggest future directions research TLM.
